And since Supertoon takes place so close to the sea and beautiful beaches, it only made sense for us to rent out a huge 35-meter boat for 200 people and take you all out to sea for 3 days, wind in your hair, listening to nice music, and taking a dive in the deep blue Adriatic whenever you feel like it.
From 12 to 6 pm, Tuesday July 23rd through Thursday 25th, there will be a day trip to islands in the Sibenik archipelago with gorgeous beaches and untouched nature – Zlarin / Prvić / Kaprije.
The round trip will include interesting Artist Talks and Festival Jury Q&A’s, film screenings, dips in the sea, tours of the islands, lunch and DJ sets!
Tuesday: Leo Hekman a.k.a. D-Gree, resident DJ at Funk Club in Zagreb, known for his Afrobeat – Soul – Funk evenings called FOUNKE NASTAY, member of the Croatian Funk Delegation and music editor at Radio 808, who’s played with so many Croatian musicians and DJ’s we can’t name them all;
Wednesday: Ines Rakočević aka Ynez, DJ, journalist and music editor at Radio 101, Radio 808 and Yammat FM, likes dark electronic music and genres like techno, electro, dubstep and bass music, but also hip-hop, r’n’b, house, neo-soul, trap, dancehall, grime, afrobeats and breakbeat, and she’s played or promoted almost every imaginable venue and festival in Croatia – Seasplash, Fresh Island, Outlook and Dimensions, to name a few;
Thursday: Daniel Šuljić aka DJ Shullio, animated filmmaker and artistic director of Animafest Zagreb, who, in the 1980’s, hosted weekly evenings of alternative music at Zagreb’s Omladinski centar and Student club. In the 2000s, he played regularly at Fluc in Vienna, sometimes using the name Lifestyle disaster, and sometimes combining DJ-ing with animated film screenings. He made guest appearances at clubs Bach and Roxy in Vienna, and Gromka in Ljubljana. Lately, he has been DJ-ing at animated film festivals, playing Fantoche, Krok, StopTrik and Animateka in addition to Supertoon. Under the moniker DJ Shullio, he is currently a resident at Mikro, Spunk and Limb in Zagreb.
Boat tickets can be reserved by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and picked up at the festival Hospitality Center (Matija Gallery, Petra Nakića bb, Sibenik, Croatia) from July 17th – July 25th.
Prices: 20 € for a day ticket; 40 € for a 3-day (festival) ticket.
*Festival accreditation holders will not need to buy a ticket for the boat trips.
**Evening screenings at Mala loža and Gorica open-air cinemas are free entry.
